mieke kooistra (she, her) worked as an international journalist and writer before she started applying narrative power to research based art projects

through storytelling using video, image, sound, text, performance and small interventions in public space kooistra creates narratives and social commentary. which often start from personal experience and show a deep interconnectedness between life and art. her artistic output consistently returns to themes around care and love.
